Seafarers Getaway

Nice ocean view ... okay studio apartment .. facing over highway (Great Ocean Road,) but can't see cars behind bushes. Some car noise during day but quiet location (at night). Internet reception somewhat unstable, but TV worked fine. Not walkable to town (busy road ... 4km). Given the room standard was like 3.5 star hotel, it was quite expensive in peak season so just not great value for money in my opinion. .

Rooms nice and clean, but small. Without moving the bed, you could not easily get out of one side of the bed. Service - meaning tea, coffee and other consumables or a change of towels, etc - requires catching the staff between 10am and 2pm. But the staff was friendly and helpful. The location is beautiful and with an open door you can hear the surf, but it is 4km from the town and shops. The carpark is close, but far enough to prevent car noises from being heard in the rooms.

Very disappointed with my experience. I Very rarely complain but in this case I will. It was my birthday weekend and I spent the first half messaging back and forth with the owner. We arrived and there was a bad smell. Think it may have been the plumbing. We asked for another room but the owner declined. The room needs to be renovated and it is smaller than it looks. Defo not worth the money. It was far away from the beach also. Very deceiving. Will never book again.

My 2nd stay here, previously in the Top Lodge (amazing), this time in a Beach Unit. Beach Unit perfectly suited our needs. I could stare at the ocean all day, rain/hail or shine. Unit 4 was clean, comfy, and well equipped, with BBQ nearby. Book directly through the website, and we received a bottle of wine and some Lindt chocolates. Contact less check-in. However, communicated by email, absolutely fine. Great place to stay, thank you 😊

Wanted a 2-night getaway for 2 adults with no kids in middle of January. Pros & Cons below: Pros: 1. Awesome location (beautiful views & scenery) 2. Room very presentable and clean 3. Easy key pick-up & drop off 4. Good parking & accessibility 5. Good proximity to Apollo Bay township (only 4 klm's) Cons: 1. Wasn't a great bed (a little on the small side and dipped in the middle) 2. A stocked fridge (cold beer or a bottle of wine perhaps?) would've been nice after a long drive to get there (would've been happy to pay) 3. No USB outlets in room 4. BBQ needed a clean 5. Room was a little on the small side 6. A little bit of the vegetation could perhaps be pruned or trimmed down to enhance the view from the deck 7. Not super private. Cabin right next door and too close to other guests if on their 'private' deck too 8. WiFi not great. Worked but download speed lucky to get in double figures 9. Not sure just over $1,000 for 2 nights was terrific value
